The sky today was completely white, with no clouds in sight.
The walk was mostly flat, passing alongside agricultural fields.
The Fortress of Montbazon was closed to visitors, but I was able to take some pictures from the outside.
I passed through Saint-Catherine-de-Fierbois, a town famous for its connection to Joan of Arc. Here, she discovered an ancient sword buried behind the altar of the Chapel of Sainte-Catherine—a relic from the Hundred Years’ War. With this sword, she led the French to victory, reclaiming Orléans and defeating the surrounding English forts.
Tonight, I’m staying in Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine, a town that has welcomed many historic figures, including King Henry IV, D’Artagnan (the Musketeer), and King Louis XIV.
Le ciel aujourd’hui était entièrement blanc, sans aucun nuage en vue.
La marche était principalement plate, longeant des champs agricoles.
La forteresse de Montbazon était fermée aux visiteurs, mais j’ai pu prendre quelques photos de l’extérieur.
Je suis passé par Saint-Catherine-de-Fierbois, une ville célèbre pour son lien avec Jeanne d’Arc. C’est ici qu’elle a découvert une épée ancienne enterrée derrière l’autel de la chapelle Sainte-Catherine, une relique de la guerre de Cent Ans. Avec cette épée, elle mena les Français à la victoire, reprenant Orléans et défaisant les forts anglais environnants.
Ce soir, je dors à Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine, une ville qui a accueilli de nombreuses figures historiques, dont le roi Henri IV, d’Artagnan (le mousquetaire) et le roi Louis XIV.
