Day 18 / Jour 18 Poitiers (again !)

I stayed in Poitiers today while waiting for a package from my family and some thoughtful gifts from a supportive friend 🙂

Inside the package, I received my insulin refill (with needles) along with an insulated bag to keep it cold. There was also a sleeping bag, mainly for the upcoming part of my journey in Spain, as well as replacement tips for my walking stick—the old ones wore out in just two weeks, with the metal core already sticking out! Additionally, I got a laundry bag and a shampoo bar that doubles as a face and body wash.

In the morning, I took a short walk around the city, then treated myself to a long nap after lunch, lol.

Je suis resté à Poitiers aujourd’hui en attendant un colis de ma famille et quelques cadeaux attentionnés d’une amie qui me soutient 🙂

Dans le colis, j’ai reçu ma recharge d’insuline (avec aiguilles) ainsi qu’un sac isotherme pour la garder au frais. Il y avait aussi un sac de couchage, surtout pour la partie à venir en Espagne, ainsi que des embouts de rechange pour mon bâton de marche—les anciens étaient déjà trop usés en seulement deux semaines, avec le noyau métallique qui dépassait ! J’ai également reçu un sac à linge et un shampoing solide, qui peut aussi être utilisé pour le visage et le corps.

Ce matin, j’ai fait une petite balade en ville, puis je me suis offert une grosse sieste après le déjeuner, ah ah.
