Yesterday, I felt pain in my left thigh, so I adjusted my plans for the next two nights, adding a stop to reduce walking.
I left the goat farm at a relaxed pace, and the walk to Villefollet was pleasant.
Along the way, I visited Saint-Hilary Church in Melle (79) and Saint-Romans Church in Saint-Romans-lès-Melle. Both churches show signs of their connection to the Saint James’ Way pilgrimage.
Near Saint-Laurent Church, I caught up with a pilgrim I had met in Poitiers.
We both ended up staying at the same place for the night.
Hier, j’ai ressenti une douleur à la cuisse gauche, alors j’ai modifié mes plans pour les deux prochaines nuits en ajoutant une étape afin de moins marcher.
J’ai quitté la ferme de chèvres à un rythme tranquille, et la marche jusqu’à Villefollet était agréable.
En chemin, j’ai visité l’église Saint-Hilaire à Melle (79) et l’église Saint-Romans à Saint-Romans-lès-Melle. Les deux églises portent des signes de leur lien avec le pèlerinage de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle.
Près de l’église Saint-Laurent, j’ai retrouvé la pèlerine que j’avais rencontré à Poitiers. Nous avons fini notre marche par passer la nuit au même endroit.
