It was a bit foggy this morning, which actually made the scenery even more beautiful.
I stopped in Villalcázar de Sirga for a second breakfast. From there to Carrión, the path runs alongside a road.
Between Carrión and Calzadilla, there’s a long, straight stretch of about 10–15 km — no elevation, no shade. A couple of kilometers before reaching Calzadilla, you can spot what looks like a church off to the right in the distance. Even just 300 meters before the town, you still don’t see it… until you reach the top of a small slope, and suddenly the town appears!
Once there, I checked in, enjoyed a beer to unwind, then took a shower and did some laundry to take full advantage of the sun for drying.
Then came siesta time — and dinner!
Il y avait un peu de brouillard ce matin, ce qui rendait le paysage encore plus beau.
Je me suis arrêté à Villalcázar de Sirga pour prendre un deuxième petit-déjeuner. De là jusqu’à Carrión, le chemin longe une route.
Entre Carrión et Calzadilla, il y a une longue ligne droite de 10 à 15 km — sans dénivelé et sans ombre. À environ 2 ou 3 km de Calzadilla, on aperçoit au loin ce qui semble être une église sur la droite. Même à 300 mètres du village, on ne voit toujours rien… jusqu’à ce qu’on arrive en haut d’une petite pente, et là, le village apparaît enfin !
Une fois arrivé, je me suis enregistré, j’ai pris une bière pour me détendre, puis j’ai pris une douche et fait ma lessive pour profiter du soleil au maximum et faire sécher mes vêtements.
Ensuite, petite sieste — et dîner !
